A Canadian resident who wants to own or borrow any kind of firearm must, every five years, fill in a form with the following questions among others:
English version
You can download the form from Police Canada at

19d) "During the past five years, have you threatened or attempted suicide, or have you been diagnosed or treated by a medical practitioner for depression, alcohol, drug or substance abuse, behavioural problems, or emotional problems?" 19d) « Au cours des cinq dernières années, avez-vous tenté ou menacé de vous suicider ou, après avoir consulté un médecin, avez-vous fait l'objet d'un diagnostic ou subi un traitement à la suite d'une dépression, d'abus d'alcool ou de drogues, de problèmes comportementaux ou émotifs? »
19e) "During the past five years, do you know if you have been reported to the police or social services for violence, threatened or attempted violence, or other conflict in your home or elsewhere?" 19e) « Au cours des cinq dernières années, la police ou les services sociaux ont-ils, à votre connaissance, reçu une plainte contre vous pour usage, tentative, ou menace de violence ou autre conflit à la maison ou ailleurs? »

August 1, 2001: A praetorian called

August 10, 2001: Pierre Lemieux is a criminal since he has not received "his" license

See August 13 article in Montréal's Le Devoir (in French)

August 13, 2001: Licenced arrived at my postal box at the village

Reproduced here (gif, and pdf for printing - Warning: large files!) with the form that accompanies it. Note that, for some reason, the crappy licence is not dated August 10, the day it was put in the mail, but of July 5.

RESISTANCE IDEA: We know that we can harrass them, refuse to answer to some questions, and force them to back off. How could they refuse a crappy licence ("permis de merde") to somobody who would fill in the form as I did? We must use this breach to destroy their fascist system.

August 16, 2001: Letter to Pierre Lemieux from Gary Webster, the new president of the Canadian Firearms Centre

3) Confessions of an Outlaw "coureur des bois"

Confessions d'un coureur des bois hors-la-loi ( Montréal: Éditions Varia, 2001). Foreword by Jacques Plamondon. Afterword by Claire Joly.

This book (in French) relates the "crimes" that Pierre Lemieux committed against the so-called "laws" enforced by Police Canada.
