11, 2004 -- Bruce Montague, one of the Canadian
heroes resisting the liberticidal
Canadian firearms controls, and his wife were arrested on September
11 by the praetorians of the Ontario Provincial Police. Bruce was liberated
on bail on September 20. Joe Gingrich sent the following e-mail:

BRUCE MONTAGUE IS OUT
Bruce Montague was released on bail from prison here this afternoon
at about 4:30 P.M. after
spending 10 1/2 days in both Dryden and Kenora jails and meeting the
crown's bail conditions. He
and his wife Donna are now both at home with their family in Dryden,
Ontario. He is very tired,
but glad to be on the outside again.
According to the Dryden Observer, Dryden OPP have released a statement
indicating that Bruce
Montague was charged with two counts of unauthorized possession of
firearms contrary to the
Criminal Code; careless storage of a firearm; failure to use reasonable
care with an explosive and
unlawful possession of an explosive. Donna Montague was charged with
unauthorized possession of
firearms and careless storage of
firearms.
It is not known at this time if further charges will be laid.
